Explore, discover and enjoy, says the poster of the upcoming Eat Local Aruba Restaurant Month. That is the idea behind this month-long event in October: everyone is invited to come and try the locally inspired dishes of the various restaurants on the island. And you can do so at a really nice price: $ 15 for a 2-course lunch and a 3-course dinner for $ 30.
Salt & Pepper Restaurant in the Arawak Garden is ready for all of you during the month of October. The menu for lunch and dinner is amazing and very local indeed. Lunch starts off with a Soup of the Day or Kerikeri tacos served with a papaya mayonnaise. The main course is either a grouper and banana ‘hasa’ roll, served with a caramelized butterscotch sauce or a Criollo BBQ with boneless chicken and ribs. Both options are served with pan bati and a pasta salad.
Dinner at Salt & Pepper is explosive, with a funchi bomb (deep-fried funchi stuffed with chicken stoba) as appetizer. Or guests can opt for the mini club bruschetta’s (with chicken and fish salads) with melted cheese on top. The entree is either Surf and Turf with a 6 oz tenderloin and quenepa shrimp skewers or the Catch of the Day, mondi-style. Both options are served with cole slaw and mashed potatoes.
Salt & Pepper is ready for all of you! October is coming, the Eat Local Aruba Restaurant Month!
